Hohoho!!! have been in Cameron Highlands for 8 days.. more than a week.. I like the weather there especially with the cold breeze blowing on my face... anyway.. let me tell u wat I've done for these days when I was in Cameron... First day when we arrived Cameron... before we check-in to CheFoo.. we had lunchie at Tanah Rata... I had it at the T-Cafe... very home-mi place... I had a pasta salad.. it's nice... we then depart to CheFoo (Brinchang) after lunch... First 4 days is the 1st PKA family camp I attend =) I missed it last year bcos it clashes with FGA Cheras worship team retreat in Malacca.. It has been a 'busy' camp for me.. Busy settling $$$ & preparing song lyrics in Power Point for the worship session.. a mistake I did... I realise that Camp Committees couldn't really enjoy the camp unless tasks are finish before camp such as secretary, publicity and etc... and so there is this guardian angel going on throughout the camp and my angel has been so thoughtful especially that she knows that I did not take a proper dinner on the first night, she gave me a cup of milo & a packet of biscuit with a note... =) Thanks Angel Annie... for the games n ice breaker I did enjoy a lot... I'm glad seeing the campers enjoying themselves and listening to all their laughters... This is a very different camp that I've ever attended... not with super high emotions but rather smooth n gentle type... My very first PKA t-shirt... =) Took a lot of pictures BUT not with me yet... cos I dun have a camera that I could transfer straight to my laptop.. anyhow.. will put them in as long as I could get them from my fellow friends... especially at the last day in CheFoo.. Oh ya! CheFoo is a very nice and pleasant 'campsite'... FOOD is DELICIOUS... yummy!! other than the meals they prepare for us... they also sell strawberry ice stick n a short butter cake.. everything is nice nice nice... =) we also had a b'day cake at the end of the camp... thx Rachel and Esmond who went out to get the cake... nice cake!! XD and also thanks Wei Chien and Kevin Ho for buying flowers for the Camp committess and the girls in the camp.. Til the end of the camp as all the campers depart from CheFoo... left the PKA EXCO waiting at CheFoo... Sharon (guitar), Clictus (keyboard - drumming) n I (piano) was enjoying playing the music instruments and singing songs... after quite some time (which I dunno how long has passed) the remaining 11 of us 'bit' farewell to CheFoo heading to Rachel late grandmum's apartment for "PKA EXCO planning retreat"... a very well maintain and nice apartment... Thx Rachel for bringing us ther... we have this planning retreat for like 4 days.. and the planning and the retreat actually runs concurrently.. so we had outings in between of the planning... and so there's a outing - b'day suprise to Shelby n Esmond (they know that we have the surprise for one another but not to themselves... haha XD)... and we went to Sg. Palas (BOH tea plantation).. we had a strawberry Cheese cake there too... I drove in Cameron for the 1st time.. it's also my first time driving on mountain... great experience... when we arrived there, it has a very nice scenery with the mountain valley... one of the masterpiece of the CREATOR ... Cameron is a very quite tourist spot... at first few of the EXCO thought that Cameron doesn't has a night life... until Rachel bring us (pass by) to A bistro & pub.. we're like "wow..." On Sunday we visit to Rachel's home church.. guess what??!! I met the Mrs Wang (Ex-Cochrane CF teacher advisor)... of all places I met her in Cameron... Wow!!! a place where I've not been for like 10 years++... memories is not clear at all... just remember that I've been to Cameron and that's it... After the Joint Subcomm planning and drawing out the big picture for the upcoming semester... we had Steamboat for dinner in Brinchang... nice food... haha =) the next morning.. before we left Cameron we went to do some shopping in Kea Farm... lots of veges.. couldn't buy.. Lots of flowers.. couldn't buy... Cos I'm not heading back to KL straight.. =( anyway.. a manage to buy some sweet potatoes n dried strawberry.. Through this few days spending time together with the EXCO.. I feel like we got to know each other better.. And I really misses the time I spent there... playing games (pictionary, UNO, Rummy-O etc...), sharing (giving a thumbs up n encouragement to one another), planning surprise b'day... and more... things that a FAMILY does... eat together.. cook together... sleep together (guys in the living room la...)... devotion together... smile n laugh together... and more more more... till now have not shed any tears together yet (though I did at one of the night when I spent time with Him at the balcony)... probably during farewell night... Who knows... Few things I could down if u ask me how's cameron like: - Nice FOOD... - Nice weather... - Nice scenery... - Nice houses... - Nice people?? haha.. NICE PEOPLE.... God Bless!! ~ Kristine Koay ~ |
